Fallen hero Deputy Sheriff Isaiah Cordero

Deputy Sheriff Isaiah Cordero

Iron Infidel wishes to honor the heroic men and women who serve our great nation. We begin our Fallen Heroes series today, by paying special tribute to a Deputy Sheriff who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving his community with honor.

In February 2018, Isaiah Cordero joined the Riverside County Sheriff's 204th Basic Academy and was promoted to Deputy Sheriff. As a Deputy, he served at the Robert Presley Detention Center and the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility before transferring to the Jurupa Valley Station. In September 2022, Deputy Cordero completed Motor School and was most recently serving as a Motor Enforcement Deputy for the city of Jurupa Valley.

Deputy Sheriff Isaiah Cordero was tragically shot and killed during a traffic stop. As he approached the vehicle, the driver suddenly pulled out a gun and opened fire, fatally wounding him. Deputy Sheriff Isaiah Cordero is survived by his parents and stepbrother.

Later that afternoon, the suspect was spotted in Beaumont and he attempted to flee, initiating a chase. The suspect eventually lost control of his pickup and ended up on the embankment, pinned by a SWAT bearcat vehicle. The suspect opened fire on the deputies, who returned fire, fatally wounding him at the scene.

As one of the founders of Iron Infidel is a former Riverside County Deputy Sheriff, we are deeply honored to pay tribute to, and celebrate the life and courage, of Isaiah Cordero.
